Code Writer is a free text and code editor designed for Windows 10 that supports more than 20 file types and provides live syntax highlighting that updates as content is edited. It positions itself as a lightweight alternative to Notepad and other quick-edit utilities while exposing features commonly found in desktop editors.

• Performance and platform: Built for Windows 10 with a focus on responsive, fluid interaction and broad platform support (ARM, x86, x64).
• Editing experience: Near full-screen editing mode with chrome that fades into the background, live syntax highlighting, and color-coded file-type differentiation.
• Navigation and commands: Collapsible side bar containing document explorer, search, advanced editing commands, print/share, settings, and help; a popup command palette provides quick keyboard access to most commands.
• File access and workflow: Create new documents or open existing files from accessible storage locations; suitable for editing text-based files, performing code reviews, or presenting code samples.
• Customization and support: Configurable editor themes and font sizes, with included documentation covering available features and settings.

The app requires Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709) or later and ships with documentation to help users explore its capabilities.
